What we do in Latin America & The Caribbean?
According to the World Bank after Covid, more than 7 million Latin American children may grow up unable to read proficiently. Despite significant progress, education remains a challenge in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).
In LAC, we operate through three main initiatives: the Edtech tablet programs in schools, Academic booklets for children with limited connectivity and access to digital devices, and the STEAM program for students and teachers with a focus on gender and critical thinking for problem-solving.
We cooperate with primary schools to make teaching and learning process equitable, enjoyable, engaging, and innovative by taking advantage of digital technology and other quality education resources. Our programs aim to encourage students to engage in learning and teachers to take part of our Professional Development program to build on their Digital Skills as a confident and knowledgeable integrator of digital technologies in their teaching practices.
